PPM 150 Workshops: About the Workshops

To support schools in making these important changes to their school nutrition environments, a series of school board workshops were co-hosted in partnership with public health over the course of October-November 2010 and early 2011.

The workshops were designed for:

  • Superintendents;
  • Principals & Vice-Principals;
  • Champion Teachers;
  • School Council Representatives; and,
  • School representatives responsible for fundraising and school lunches.

Participants were provided with strategies, tools, and resources to help their implementation of our three nutrition priorities as well as PPM 150, and were given a kit folder of information that can be shared with their school communities. Small group discussions were also facilitated to allow colleagues to share their ideas and experiences in creating healthy school nutrition environments.

Click here for the Workshop Report - a summary document which highlights the wealth of ideas shared at our fall 2010 workshops, as well as a section of frequently asked questions.
